Abecs

Founded in 1971, the Associação Brasileira das Empresas de Cartões de Crédito e Serviços (Abecs) is a non-profit civil entity representing the Brazilian electronic means of payment sector. Its mission is to defend the interests of its members, promote the development and strengthening of the industry, and contribute to building a more competitive, innovative, secure, and efficient ecosystem for electronic payments in Brazil. Abecs acts as the main interlocutor for the sector with governmental bodies, regulators, consumers, and the press, while also producing widely-cited statistics and research on the market's performance.
