Founded in 2019 in Spain, ALiCE Biometrics specialized in creating AI-powered solutions for remote customer identification and authentication (e-KYC). Their proprietary technology combined facial biometrics, liveness detection, and automatic ID document validation to provide a secure and seamless user onboarding experience. The company's mission was to combat identity fraud and simplify digital identity processes for businesses. In May 2021, ALiCE Biometrics was acquired by the US-based identity solutions provider Ipsidy Inc. (which has since rebranded to AuthID.ai) to enhance its identity proofing and authentication platform.
